Tolmie state park
beach
Today, I went to this beach which is located on the shore
of Puget Sound.
I almost hate leaving this review because the park can
already get too busy, and I'd like to keep it as much of a secret as I can...
but it's too awesome not to share. Great hiking trails. Very unique, quiet, and
relaxing beach. Visited during the week in the summer and had a great time
exploring. The park has beach access that you can park near, several grills and
picnic areas, and restrooms.
It's a fun place especially for little ones interested in
aquatic life. My only advice is if it's sunny and during the weekend, get there
as early as possible or all the parking spots will be taken. I prefer to visit
this park on less busy weekdays if during the summer months.During the cold
winter days, if you go to this beach you can enjoy it by yourself, but it is
not as pleasant as when it is warm and sunny. It is a great place to search for
unusual stones, sea shells and odd shaped driftwood. I have seen lamps made of
driftwood that are very pretty, especially when a few sea shells are added to
the wood with a little glue.
I think
it is good for my mind, to go walking in nature. I enjoy the sound of the wind
and waves and the noises the sea gulls make as they zoom around the beach
looking for bits of food. This is a wild place, and nature is good for me. This
beach is a great spot for thinking about lots of memories.
